Revolution Squelch Expos Offense in Shutout Win
|
York starter Corn Elder pitched effectively against the Niagara Falls Expos at Waterfall Park. The right-hander led his team to a 3-0 win. The save went to Sicnarf Loopstok, his 6th this season. The Expos, now 22-19, have lost 6 in a row.
The Revolution got a big at-bat from center fielder Gong Mao. For the game, Mao was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 15th double of the season gave York a 2-0 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Mao said.
