Grand Forks rode a decent outing from starter Kabeya Kasongo to victory over the Niagara Falls Expos at The Cocoon. The final score was 7-4. Ricardo Covarrubias picked up the save for Grand Forks, his 1st of the year. Grand Forks now has a 3-game win streak.

Had Xiong Phan not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Phan hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 7-4, in favor of the Caterpillars.
