Jets Subdue York, 2-0
|
The Kennesaw Jets picked up a win at Jets Stadium, knocking off the York Revolution, 2-0. Starting pitcher John A. Mais, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Kennesaw is now 14-15.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Francisco Ortíz didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and York trailing 2-0, Ortíz retired Tome Uso to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Ortíz, with a wink.
