The Portland Evergreens topped the Phoenix Hotspur, 3-2, in United States Premier League action at Chase Field. The player of the game was Portland pitcher and St. Cloud, Minnesota native George Eisenhauer. The first-place Evergreens, at 71-31, now lead their division by 11 games.
Ramón Garmendia, who is rated as the 35th best prospect by BNN, contributed to the Portland win with a solo home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
