The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a stellar performance from pitcher Shaun Mahle, who handcuffed the Tacoma offense en route to a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Tacoma. Mercer Island leads the Premier AA by 7 games.

Yu-shu Kang had the most critical at-bat for Mercer Island. With one in the top of the 11th inning, Kang hit a 1-0 fastball from Mal Adams for a run-scoring double. It put Mercer Island in front, 3-2.
