Continentals Win at Minnesota, 3-1
|
The Chesapeake Continentals got a magnificent performance from pitcher Alfred Osuch, who stifled the Minnesota offense en route to a 3-1 Continentals win at Loony Bin. Osuch went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 2. His record improves to 1-2. Chesapeake is now 56-44, Minnesota 57-43.
Jim MacRach tagged a home run off Sjoerd Reynoud in the top of the third. His 2-run blast put the Continentals on top, 2-0. In all, MacRach had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Osuch.
