Richland used a superb performance from starting pitcher Matko Perisc to down the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 1-0. Richland currently is in 9th place in the Premier AA at 37-57.
Wulf Paauwe was 2-3 with a double and a walk against the Screaming Eagles. In the top of the first inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Richland in front, 1-0.
Perisc told a Richland Times reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
