|
Durham Rapiers starter Archie Erickson pitched a strong game against the Asheville Highlanders at Rapiers Ballpark, leading the Rapiers to a 4-3 win. Mark Sinclair converted his 15th save in 18 tries. Durham bumps their record to 45-47 with the win.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Colby King was at the plate when Durham scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Rapiers to go in front, 4-3.
"What we get, we earn," King told the Durham Herald.
