The Asheville Highlanders overcame a good performance by Northville designated hitter Marvello Obra to knock off Northville, 8-4, at Old-Timers Park. Obra hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Rex Hood got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings.
The Highlanders got a big at-bat from center fielder Landon Harryman. For the game, Harryman went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 14th double of the season gave Asheville a 3-1 lead.
