Fur Traders Cut Down Continentals, 8-4
|
Gerardo Herváz left his imprint on the 8-4 Tacoma win against the Chesapeake Continentals. Herváz was 2-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Tyrone Marone finished to wrap up his 2nd save. With the win, Tacoma has a record of 33-53. Chesapeake falls to 47-39.
Jeremy Geertsen was a key contributor to the win for the Fur Traders. In the bottom of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a double to center. He went 2-5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Chesapeake manager Nacho Rivero. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
