Yandell Rips Chesapeake for 5 Hits
Daryl Yandell put on a hitting clinic today as the Tacoma Fur Traders dumped the Chesapeake Continentals 7-6 at Ballpark of Tacoma.

The Tacoma catcher made Chesapeake defenders earn their pay, lashing Chesapeake pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Yandell said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Daryl Yandell doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th and walked in the 13th.

Yandell is hitting .306 so far this season with 57 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 87 hits including 10 home runs, 32 walks and .378 OBP.
