The Rails faced a stiff challenge from Tacoma pitcher Mal Adams, but persevered to claim a win at Ballpark of Tacoma. The final score was 4-3. Adams went 10.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Tacoma has now lost 13 consecutive games.
Wulf Paauwe's hit in the top of the 16th was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a fastball from Pedro Pérez for a run-scoring single. It put Richland in front, 4-3.
