The Rails faced a stiff challenge from Asheville pitcher Mariano Núñez, but persevered to claim a win at Rails Ballpark. The final score was 6-2. Núñez went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Juan Rúbio was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 7 save opportunities. Asheville now has a 8-game losing streak.
