Mixon goes 4-for-6 as Rapiers Drub Fur Traders

The Durham Rapiers had no problem beating the Tacoma Fur Traders, 16-2, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Glen Allen Mixon led the way. He was 4 for 6 with 3 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Durham. Archibald Bridgestone closed the game out for Durham, earning his 1st save. The Fur Traders have now dropped 5 straight.
The Rapiers had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the seventh. The score was 16-1, Durham, with no one out. Tacoma, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Gerardo Herváz dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 fastball, he hit into a double play.
