Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got the win.
Mercer Island Screaming Eagles starter Héctor Tista was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Richland Rails, 3-2. The Screaming Eagles have an impressive 47-26 record.
The Screaming Eagles got a big at-bat from left fielder Pedro Hernández. For the game, Hernández went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Mercer Island a 2-0 lead.
