Grey Wolves Jolt Patriots with Late Rally
The Vancouver Grey Wolves defeated the Boston Patriots, 10-7. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Michael Malloy, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Vancouver reliever Roy Shively picked up the win, upping his record to 9-2. Rick Converse absorbed the loss. Francisco Valdés got the save, the 14th for him this season.

Malloy had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from José Sánchez, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Grey Wolves a 8-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Malloy.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Malloy.

Vancouver is now 58-41.
