Rails Clip Loons in Tight Contest
|
The Richland Rails faced a tough opponent in Minnesota pitcher Melchor Morse, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Loony Bin by a final score of 7-4. Morse went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Richland is now 27-44, Minnesota 39-32.
Juan Rosado had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth for the Rails. Coming up with the bases loaded and Richland trailing 4-3, he hit a bases-clearing triple.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rosado said.
