The Chesapeake Continentals topped the Durham Rapiers, 8-1, in USPL Double A action at Chesapeake Grounds. The player of the game was Chesapeake pitcher Iwane Chihara. Chesapeake is now 41-29.
Ray Walker, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in triples with 3, aided the Chesapeake cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder was 2-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Chihara, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
