Fur Traders Slip Past Asheville, 4-3
|
The Ballpark of Tacoma faithful were treated to a dramatic, walk-off win.
The Tacoma Fur Traders did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Asheville Highlanders at Ballpark of Tacoma. Nobody did more than pitcher John Hottinger, who captured player of the game honors. Tacoma reliever Justin Barber picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-6. Malulani Anakone was collared with the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Tacoma right fielder Mike Case, facing Malulani Anakone, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Fur Traders the 4-3 win.
"It feels good to get this one," Hottinger told the Tacoma Gazette.
After today's action, Tacoma sits at 29-38, while Asheville falls to 27-40.
