Hotspur Come Back Late to Top Piranhas
|
Phoenix pitcher Juan Guillén did his part in helping his team beat the Panama City Piranhas, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Guillén got the win, improving to 7-9. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 8.2 innings. Guillén allowed 3 earned runs. Mitchell Atwell was credited with the save for Phoenix, his 8th of the season.
Randy Rehling tagged a home run off Folkert van Huizen in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run blast put the Hotspur on top, 5-3. In all, Rehling had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It's a mindset," said Guillén. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
