Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Gerardo Herváz, the Tacoma Fur Traders defeated the Chesapeake Continentals, 5-4. Herváz hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Fur Traders. Justin Barber closed it out for his 16th save. Tacoma is now 28-37. Chesapeake is 38-27.

Herváz had a key at-bat for Tacoma early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Tacoma an early 3-1 lead.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Herváz told a Tacoma Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
