Asheville right-hander Jim Eisenmenger pitched his team to victory over the Chesapeake Continentals at Chesapeake Grounds. The final score was 7-0. Eisenmenger, now 2-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. Asheville is now 25-36.
The Highlanders got a big at-bat from designated hitter Félix Calixto. For the game, Calixto went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.
