Springfield turned a good effort from starter Tony DeWitt into a win over the Richland Rails at Rails Ballpark. The final score was 5-1. Springfield, at 25-33, sits in 8th place in the Premier AA.
Sébastien Bernard, who is rated as the 46th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Springfield cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Bernard said.
