The Rails had to overcome a good performance from Tacoma pitcher Álex Hernández to claim a 3-2 win at Rails Ballpark. Hernández went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Richland reliever Raúl Sánchez was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. Daniel Ryan took the loss for Tacoma. Richland, at 22-35, sits in last place in the Premier AA.
Luo-lang Li went 1 for 2 with a walk for Richland. The 22-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Daniel Ryan. It was his 22nd RBI of the season.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Li said.
