Continentals Come Back Late, Nip Loons
Chesapeake Continentals starter Iwane Chihara was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Minnesota Loons, 4-3. Chesapeake reliever Raúl Romero picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Aubrey McCrimmon shouldered the loss. Francisco Torres sewed up the save, his 15th.

Mathias Gudmestad drove in one run for Chesapeake. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Aubrey McCrimmon. It was his 16th RBI of the season.

"We played hard and won," said Chihara. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

Chesapeake has now won 4 straight.
