Rails Lose Again, 9-3, to Screaming Eagles
|
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles knocked off the Richland Rails, 9-3, at Mercer Island Grounds. Wade Killefer, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Mercer Island won. The shortstop was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Richland.
Edwin Berns, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in triples with 3, helped out the Mercer Island cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.
