Phoenix Hotspur got a strong outing from José Santiago as the Youth defeated the Richland Rails, 6-0, at Grenadiers Ballpark. Phoenix Hotspur is 28-21 and Richland, with the loss, 20-29.
With a runner on 1st and two out in the bottom of the third inning, second baseman António Escalante delivered big for the Youth. Phoenix Hotspur was leading 2-0 when he belted a 2-run home run.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Santiago.
