Loons Roll to 13-1 Win Over Youth
|
The Minnesota Loons thumped the Phoenix Hotspur Youth, 13-1, at Grenadiers Ballpark. Dhyana Snigdha was a big reason his team got the win. Snigdha was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs. Steve Tedder got the win, improving to 6-0. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 3 hits and no runs, while striking out 3 and walking 6. Fernando Barraza recorded the save for Minnesota, his 1st of the season.
Luis Delvalle, who is tied for 8th in the PAA in bases on balls with 27, helped out the Minnesota cause in the top of the eighth inning with a bases-clearing double. For the game, the first baseman was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"Enjoyed this one," Snigdha told the Minnesota Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
Minnesota is now 27-21, Phoenix Hotspur 27-21.
