|
Springfield third baseman Fletcher Megarity had a good game, even if his team did not. The Shooters dropped a 5-4 decision to Richland at Rails Ballpark. Megarity went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Richland is now 17-27, Springfield 19-25.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Richland first baseman Wulf Paauwe, facing Dermot Eridge, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Rails the 5-4 win.
