Rapiers Throttle Fur Traders, 5-1

Yoshi Kouda left his imprint on the 5-1 Durham win against the Tacoma Fur Traders. Kouda, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in triples with 3, went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Durham now sits at 19-23, while Tacoma falls to 23-19.
Tomás Costello had a big 2-run single for the Rapiers in the bottom of the second inning. With Durham leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Álex Hernández and stroked the single to right. It was his 38th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rapiers ahead, 4-0.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Rapiers manager Brody Roberts, "I like our chances."
