Youth Fall Short at Mercer Island
Phoenix Hotspur shortstop Damian Alldred had a good game, even if his team did not. The Youth dropped a 6-5 decision to Mercer Island at Mercer Island Grounds. Alldred slugged 2 home runs. Mercer Island reliever Esteban Miroz was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Leon von Stroheim took the loss. Mercer Island is now 19-19, Phoenix Hotspur 20-18.

Giobbe Bastedo was the walk-off hero for Mercer Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Screaming Eagles center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring triple to send the teams home.

"Put a star next to this win," Bastedo said.
