The Richland Rails defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 6-4. Earning player of the game honors was right fielder Luo-lang Li, who went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win was credited to Carlton Roberts in relief. Had Alejandro Herrera not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Herrera hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Rails.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Li told a Richland Times reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
