Continentals Come Up Short at Springfield
|
Springfield second baseman Fletcher Megarity played a vital role in his team's 4-3 triumph over Chesapeake. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Springfield. Dermot Eridge earned the save, his 7th, for the Shooters. Springfield currently is in 6th place in the Premier AA at 17-17.
Barrett Drury, who is rated as the 83rd best prospect by BNN, helped out the Springfield cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop was 1-2 with 2 walks.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Chesapeake manager Nacho Rivero. "The effort was great."
