Fur Traders Subdue Northville, 4-3
|
The Tacoma Fur Traders did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Northville Eclipse at Old-Timers Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Domingo Montémayor, who captured player of the game honors. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Tacoma.
Sherman N'Dir drove in one run for Tacoma. The slick-fielding center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Freddie Mayes. It was his 14th RBI of the season.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," N'Dir said.
