Tight Tilt Goes to Continentals, 4-3
|
The Continentals faced a stiff challenge from Mercer Island pitcher Satoshi Ono, but persevered to claim a win at Chesapeake Grounds. The final score was 4-3. Ono went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Steve McKinney picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Esteban Miroz was tagged with the loss. Francisco Torres finished to wrap up his 8th save.
Chesapeake took a 4-3 lead on Raphaël Duval's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Mercer Island pitcher Esteban Miroz in the bottom of the seventh.
"I felt good up there," said Duval. "I saw the ball well."
Chesapeake is now 15-16.
