Late Rally by Highlanders Secures Win

The Asheville Highlanders defeated the Chesapeake Continentals, 1-0, in USPL Double A action at Asheville Park, with Asheville pitcher Juan Ramírez named player of the game. Asheville is now 13-16.
Sergio Muńóz, who is rated as the 93rd best prospect by BNN, chipped in for Asheville with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
Ramírez said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
