Loons Lose, 6-3, at Rails Ballpark

Richland Rails starter Claudio Palma was in fine form against the Minnesota Loons at Rails Ballpark, leading his team to a 6-3 win. Juan Rúbio picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Luis Domínguez was tagged with the loss. Richland occupies last place in the Premier AA at 12-17.
Had Ilkka Haapajarvi not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Haapajarvi hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Rails.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Palma told the Richland Times.
