Loons Sneak Past Rails, 5-4

The Minnesota Loons did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Richland Rails at Rails Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Steve Tedder, who captured player of the game honors. Tedder went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-0. Jeff Territt picked up the save, his 3rd.
Cody Jaeckel, who is rated as the 54th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Minnesota cause in the top of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"Winning is contagious," said Jaeckel. "We're looking forward to the next game."
Minnesota occupies second place in the Premier AA at 16-12.
