Late Rally by Eclipse Secures Win
Fans who gathered at Old-Timers Park saw a good contest between the Northville Eclipse and Asheville Highlanders.

The Northville Eclipse eked out a 3-2 win versus the Asheville Highlanders at Old-Timers Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Nobuhito Tanaka, who captured player of the game honors. Vaugh Chesser got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings.

Marvello Obra was the walk-off hero for Northville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eclipse designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Tanaka.

The Eclipse saw their win-loss record go to 14-12. At the same time, the Highlanders fell to 12-14.
