Youth Turn Back Tacoma, 3-1
|
Phoenix Hotspur rode a fine outing from starter José Santiago to victory over the Tacoma Fur Traders at Grenadiers Ballpark. The final score was 3-1. Leon von Stroheim finished the game for Phoenix Hotspur and earned his 3rd save. Phoenix Hotspur is now 11-10.
Sinfronio Vitor drove in one run for Phoenix Hotspur. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Álex Hernández. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
"I just love going out and having a big game," Santiago said when asked about being named player of the game. "It's an honor to have your talents recognized."
