Bakersfield pitcher Lúcio Sánchez did his part in helping his team beat the Bloomington Longnecks, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Bakersfield has now won 4 games in a row.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the 12th inning. With no one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Robert O'Connor, hit a single. It helped Bakersfield seize the win.
