The Tortolita Drummers got a superb performance from shortstop Steve Costillo, but the Salt Lake City Buzz still won the game, 6-5. Costillo was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Scott Mildren closed the game out for Salt Lake City, earning his 4th save. Salt Lake City goes to 61-37. The win puts them 2˝ games up in their division.
Salt Lake City took control in the top of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Jorge Colón hit a bases-clearing double to make it 6-5, Buzz.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Colón.
