Montoya Hits 2 home runs in Drummers Win
|
The Tortolita Drummers topped the Calgary Lynx by the score of 9-6, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Orlando Montoya. Montoya was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Drummers. Tortolita, at 51-43, sits in third place in the Premier AAA.
The Drummers got a lift from shortstop Steve Costillo who had a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning off Miguel López. It was his 42nd RBI of the season and put Tortolita in front, 1-0.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Tortolita skipper Arturo Chávez.
