Dogfish Head Topple Drummers with Late Rally
|
Milton rode a fine outing from starter Luis Torrez to victory over the Tortolita Drummers at Milton Corner Tavern. The final score was 4-2. Ronaldo Matos picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-4. Pedro Figueroa was tagged with the loss. Joe Khokar converted his 6th save in 9 tries.
The Dogfish Head got a big at-bat from left fielder Ed Lastinger. For the game, Lastinger went 1 for 4. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 46th hit of the season gave Milton a 3-2 lead.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Lastinger.
The Dogfish Head now have a mark of 33-60.
