The Tortolita Drummers eked out a 4-3 win versus the Bloomington Longnecks at Drummers Ballpark. Nobody did more than second baseman Orlando Montoya, who captured player of the game honors. The win was credited to Kyle Buckman in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Anaías Pedroza took the loss. Tortolita now sits at 46-40, while Bloomington falls to 51-35.

Eisse Cals had a nice at-bat for the Drummers with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With a runner on 1st, the catcher drew a walk, which would prove important in the Tortolita win.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Montoya said.
