Salt Lake City center fielder Mike Gillespie was instrumental in his team's 7-2 win over the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves. Gillespie, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA in stolen bases with 22, went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Buzz. This win makes it 5 in a row for Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City catcher Quigley Gibson contributed to the cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Gibson went 1-4.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Salt Lake City manager Allen Bartlett.
