Drummers Bump Off Nobles, 4-1

The Tortolita Drummers dealt the Bakersfield Nobles a 4-1 loss at Jerome Grounds. Rich Flannery was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Kyle Buckman was called on to finish, recording his 10th save. The Nobles, at 39-44, have lost 4 in a row.
Tied up with the Nobles in the top of the fourth inning, the Drummers got a boost from left fielder Alan Elder. With a runner on 1st, Elder saw a 1-1 curveball from José García and hit a 2-run home run to break the stalemate and put Tortolita on top, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Elder told the Tortolita Times.
