Victory Over Hotspur Reserves Takes Salt Lake City to 50-32
|
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Alistair Mix, the Salt Lake City Buzz defeated the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves, 6-0. Mix was 2-3 with a home run and a walk for the Buzz. The first-place Buzz have a one-game lead in their division.
The Buzz ran into trouble in the top of the third. The score was 1-0, Salt Lake City, with two out. Phoenix, with runners on 1st and 3rd, had Alex Niemann at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he grounded out and the Buzz went on to win.
