Hotspur Reserves Deal Longnecks Painful Loss
|
The Bloomington Longnecks got a superb performance from pitcher Atila Freska, but the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves still won the game, 2-1. Freska was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The Hotspur Reserves now have a mark of 37-44.
Corey Ferguson tagged a home run off Anaías Pedroza in the bottom of the 14th. His solo blast put the Hotspur Reserves on top, 2-1. In all, Ferguson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"I really like what we did out there today," Ferguson said after the game.
