In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Calgary Lynx went home winners at Drummers Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Harold Elkins. Elkins silenced the Tortolita Drummers, enabling Calgary to grab the 4-1 win. Elkins picked up the win for Calgary, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Gustavo López earned the save for Calgary, his 8th of the year.
Calgary second baseman Francisco Santos contributed to the cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, Santos was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Calgary skipper Ricardo Betancourt.
With the win, Calgary goes to 40-35, while the Drummers fall to 40-35.
